In Which Sultan Finds Some New Friends
Sultan was flying around in the desert, when he spotted a small settlement looking like it was being built up. Perhaps they had some information for him? Sultan flew down to the sand and walked over to one of the people helping out. Or…creature in this case. It was a centaur! He had never seen a centaur before, and was a bit mystified. Trying to focus and not stare, he finally spoke. "Uh, excuse me?" Started Sultan. The centaur turned to face him, a big smile on his face. "Hello, friend!" Shouted the centaur, as he went over to him to embrace him. The centaur had a white shirt on with messy dark brown hair, similar color to Sultan’s, and his beard was a lighter brown. Sultan slowly hugged him back, as he was caught off guard by the touch of this centaur. "Uh…hi…? Friend? You seem to…enjoy touching strangers huh?" "Oh, sorry" The centaur chuckled nervously, backing away. "Guess I forget some people don't like to be touched." "No, no! It's ok! Just…caught me off guard is all. Maybe

The Tale of Laniakea - Chapter 10
Green House Renovations "You made a black hole????" Sunny's eyes went wide, as her mouth hung open at the shocking news Laniakea just told her. "I mean...it was small, but…yeah." Lani modestly answered, slowly shrugging. “You, my fine pupil, have a lot more potential than I gave you credit for! Never did I think you could create something like a black hole so early!" "Well, I can try to show it off to you…" Lani closed her eyes, and moved her hands in the position she used to create the black hole. She began to focus, as she tried to form it again. Time ticked away as Lani focused really hard, but nothing formed. "Tch…I can't do it, I'm tired…" "And this is why I tell you to rest, Trainee." Sunny smiled, as she floated over to her side and rubbed her back. "You'll have time to show me later." "You're right. That fight actually took a lot out of me." She yawned. "A little nap doesn't sound too bad." Slowly, she laid down on the floor as she shut her eyes, beginning to drift off

The Midnight Ritual
“Hear me, Zanith'kar. The energy ascends, the ritual complete. Rise before me!” The midnight hour had indeed arrived, the three circles with their icons and their due sacrifices placed and prepared. The innocence of a child, the ignorance of a savant, the sanity of a madman...essences transmuted to raw arcana and gathered for the summoning of a mighty being, a fearful yet awesome entity that Valestra would seek favor from. Her own compatriots on this endeavor had been used as raw material, flesh and soul spilt and spread in order for this dark deed to be done as the runes of their bones glew brightly on the cold desert ground. The frost of the once sun-baked sand would not make her yield any more than hesitation or the morality of weaklings. She played with fire and rejoiced in it, such warmth and ecstasy only possible through transgressions such as these. “The death of acolytes beckons to your own volcanic blood. The symbols awaken your own magic, your innate aura of magnificence

In a city in New Jersey– “Hold it!” A voice shouted. Is there a problem? “Who said Im in New Jersey?” Well, a few sources have said– “No, no, no. Born in Canada, known as a Canadian, stayed in Canada. I'm in Vancouver now. So, how about you start the story the right way?” Ok fine… In the city of Vancouver, in a run down apartment building, Deadpool sits in his messy room on his broken down chair watching reruns and eating chimichangas. There was a knock on his door, as Deadpool spun around. “Enter, peasant!” He yelled, as a cloaked man walked into his apartment. “And what can I do for you, my young padawan?” The man cleared his throat, and said "I need a mercenary.” "Well, you've come to the right place, sweetheart. Who do you need assassinated? Cheating girlfriend? Horrible boss? The Oscars for denying Leonardo DiCaprio an award for so long?" The man shook his head. "No, no…I need an item." "An item? Listen pal, that's not a mercs job. I kill people for a living, ok? I'm no

Under the Spell of the Card (Gift by Mindtasker)
Kip wasn’t happy. After a week working overtime, the brown-haired guy was looking forward to a calm night of Friday. He had everything prepared, a cold drink, a bag full of treats that he always enjoyed and most importantly, a booster pack from his local game store that he frequented each weekend. All sounded like a good plan, something that was going to be a personal reward for a week like that, but upon opening the pack, Kip was disappointed. It was one of those classic packs from Yu-Gi-Oh, one that always put the classic cards that people normally used during the first stages of the game, when things were simpler. He expected to find some powerful ones like the Blue-Eyes White Dragon or the Dark Magician, but instead got simple ones like Red Potion, Garoozis and Two-Pronged Attack. Even after he got something decent like Giant Soldier of Stone, Kip’s disappointment was immensurable. As he got to the last card, the brown-haired card looked away for a moment, thinking that would be

I knew I was in big trouble. I was in trouble and rigthfully so. It was my fault that our company lost the important Midwest-Bank-Deal. When my manager called me in, I knew I was in big trouble. So what was the worst thing that could happen to me? Losing my job and having to find a new one? Not in this company. See, since Miss Arin became the manager of our branch, she introduced a new rule: If you screw things up, you get a chance to redeem yourself in a new position, assigned by Miss Arin. Strangely enough, all coworkers, that have been transfered to a redeeming position, have never been heard of again. With a bad feeling in my gutt, I entered Miss Arin's office. Miss Arin had certainly changed the look of her office after she replace Mr. Vandoorn as manager. Her office now looked more like the lair of an excentric Bond villain, with it's lavish, flame-themed decorations. Miss Arin appeared as the ruthless, stern, business woman in her red blazer and skirt combo, that fitted so

Kusanagi ever did enjoy meeting adventurers, especially those with delusions of heroism. Already had she dealt with a particularly naive group that she was rummaging through their stuff, the kitsune having access to months of quests and their rewards among other things. She checked in on her “guests”, those fools who fell prey to her illusions and lies, never thinking that the beautiful inn maiden was but a trickster with sinister designs. An abandoned building just a little aside from the road, far enough from passerbys and some non-rotten food and they were already lost in the charade that she had created for her prey. While merchants and mere travelers were less risky, the loot was ever better as they were asleep, entranced in fables of her own making that played in their head while she pilfered and examined her ill-gotten gains. “Hmmm...a ring of protection, a few potions, a sword that can emit flames...not too bad indeed~” the kitsune said to herself, indeed loving the sound
